ANNUAL
SALES CONFERENCE 2002

Shafi Reso-chem had organized its Annual
Sales Conference 2002 on July 03-04 at
Pearl Continental, Lahore. Mr. Abrar Ahmed
(CEO, Shafi Reso-Chem) inaugurated the
conference. He said, “I believe that
our present is much better than our past
and our future should be better than our
present in all aspects including knowledge,
quality, service and customer relationship.In
the new scenario after getting ISO certification
and technical collaboration with ALPA.
Our people must be more responsible and
service oriented to improve the image
of our country.”
A technical quiz competition
was conducted among the sales force to
check and enhance their knowledge. Mr.
Mohammad Faiz presented the performance
review of the year 2001-2002. Mr. Kaleemuddin
Ahmed (Marketing Manager) has presented
his papers on “SYNTANS” and
discuss it in detail to give an in depth
view to sales force. Our chief guest MR.
Mohammad Musadiq (CEO, Siddique Leather
Works) presented the over view of leather
industry of Pakistan and answered the
questions fromparticipants.Mr. Yameen
Uddin Ahmed presented his papers on export
opportunities avilable arround the globe
and discuss it in detailed, whereas, MR
Mohammad Faiz discussed export planning
in detail.

In the last session,
all the sales force individuals presented
their papers on given topics. The prize
distribution ceremony was held at the
end of the second day. Mr. Mohammad Musadiq
gave the prizes to the participants.
Vote of thanks was given
by Mr. Mohammad Faheem (COO, Shafi Reso-Chem)
and the concluding remarks with closing
was done by Mr. Abrar Ahmed. The purpose
of this conference was to provide an opportunity
to all the marketing and sales people
to exchange views and develop new ideas
for the changing scenario of the leather
business in Pakistan as well as around
the globe

various presenters aimed at improving
the quality of products and services along
with everlasting customer relationship.

Reso and Alpa become Strategic
Partners
We feel immense pleasure in
announcing that from July 2002, RESO is combining
its specialty leather chemical operations with
those of Italian chemical industry for leather
Alpa, S.p.A. Milan, Italy. This move is the
latest in an aggressive international expansion
plan of RESO.
The purposes of this strategic business alliance
are to turn under-utilized resources into profit,
create new profit centers, serving leather manufacturers
in untapped international markets, quicker and
at less cost than before.
RESO has emerged as the best
chemical service provider in Pakistan since
its inception in 1994 and during last couple
of years, it expanded its leather chemical operations
in South and Middle Eastern international markets.
Now, by having technical collaboration
with Alpa, RESO expects to roll out markets
in Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Yemen,
China, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia and other
far and middle eastern countries in next one
year, giving it a firm foothold in burgeoning
Asian markets.

chemical manufacturing plant in Lahore.

RESO NEW INNOVATIONS

RESYNTAN
AH
It is condensation malamine replacement
resin. It is anionic and compatible with
all anionic tanning agents, dyes and auxiliaries.
Resyntan AH has hardly any lighting effect
on the color and improves the buffing
properties of the leather for suede and
nubuck.
RESYNTAN
WT
It is a replacement-tanning agent for
light fast white leather. It can also
be used in solo retanning or combined
with vegetable tannage as substitution
syntans i.e. besides reptile leather and
white nubuck, also white upper, suede,
belt and bag leather. Since having good
tanning action, WT is recommended for
bleaching chrome-tanned leather to obtain
white skins for pastel colors with most
efficient light fastness.
RESYNTAN
LF
It is styrene maleic resin and is suitable
for any kind of leather and confers a
soft and elastic handle, no loose grain
and good fullness. It is particularly
suitable for leather designated to soft
articles like garment and nappa shoe.
RESYNTAN
PV
It is phenolic replacement syntan of high
astringency. It gives good dyeing properties
with their filling effects on the grain
pattern and fullness. It is recommended
for retannage of chrome leather in order
to obtain full and elastic skins with
fine grain particularly in clothing nappa,
shoe upper and glazed kid.
RESYNTAN
GTF
It is a retanning material for different
types of leather. It increases the penetration
and fixation of chrome, aluminum, vegetable
or synthetic materials. GTF can also be
used for dyeing.

FAR
It is an acrylic polymer retanning agent.It
gives exellent ullness,firmness and spongy
round feel.It also improves dying and
buffing properties.
RESOLITE
LC
It is a very active emulsifying and wetting
agent for soaking and wetting back.It
is compatible with electrolytes and an-ionic
auxiliaries.
RESOPAN
HCON-ST
It is an enzymatic bating agent for all
types of skins particularly for upper
leathers, ensures optinum scud loosening
with more elastic grain pattern.
RESOCOVER
4030
It is a compound acrylic emulsion and
specially designed for roller coating.It
gives good covering and improves embosing
property with good rub fastness.
RESOFINISH
1020
It is an acrylic co-polymer emulsion to
improve rub fastness with soft and elastic
film formation.It also gives good covering
to the leather.
RESOGROUND
2200
It is an aqueous an-ionic dispersing filler
to upgrade the leather.It gives no loading
effect, good plate releasing property
and pleasant slippery feel.It also improves
brilliancy to finish.
